Basil, Youre outta control! 02/04/2010

So, it's been a month... give or take a few days, and my areogarden is outta control. The basil and chives are growing like weeds. In just a week or so I will be ready to harvest some and start using it.

This is seriously the EASIEST garden Ive ever had! The lights turn off and on by themselves with a built-in timer and all I have to do is put in the nutrient and add a little water to it when the orange light comes on. Which is only about every 2 weeks.

This is PERFECT for the lazy gardener who loves fresh herbs and veggies.

I would recommend it to anyone.

I noticed earlier that one of my records had a huge scratch in it. Luckily, it was one of the records that I don't really care about. Already in a stumper on how to store my belt buckles, I decided to make a record bowl instead of adding it to Toronto's junk pile.
It took less than 5 minutes from start to finish and now my belt buckles have a happy home.

yey the dining room is done. I painted my dining room table in a zebra print and finally unpacked some odds and ends. And, can you tell I LOVE Ikea? The table, chairs, red lockers, candles and canvas are all from Ikea. LOL My apartment is like a showroom.

Boring weekend + zombie movies = this!
I've had these plain yellow rubber duckys in my bathroom for over a year now. They go with NOTHING and I've never really liked them so I decided to redo them. I want to do a few more but this is the first out of the batch. But now... its too cute for the bathroom! haha
I think I'm going to do a "day of the dead" themed duck, and maybe even a transformers duck... ooooh so many ideas!

I cant wait till this table is finally DONE. I come home and see how much work needs to be done and it frustrates me, but slowly its getting done. Im HOPING to have it done by next week. *keeps fingers crossed*
And to answer a question Ive received a couple of times... no Im not selling it. Its going to be the table in my dining room. :)

When my roommate moved out she took the dining room table with her... well it was hers lol. I needed a dining room table so we got an unfinished one from Ikea, and I decided to add my geeky flare to it.
You know you're a geek when you draw Xmen on your dining room table in sharpies... If its not clear enough to tell its Wolverine vs Sabretooth.
Day 1- drew it all out in sharpie.
Day 2- started to add paint to it.
Can't wait till its finished!!!

There will be some fan-art on this website. I love painting Simpsons, Family Guy, etc cause Im a big fan of those cartoons and love to put up fun fan art paintings in my home. This is just going to be a blog where I can doodle my life away. Im a self-proclaimed dork from Toronto, who spends her days crafting and her nights cuddling with doggies and watching Elvis movies. My body is my canvas, and so far my canvas is almost half finished. I love every kind of art... body art included. Feel free to comment if you like what you see.
